The SFW Institute was founded to equip system survivors—those most impacted by poverty, crime, and mass incarceration—with the tools to transform their lives and communities. Through community organizing, education, and advocacy, we empower grassroots leaders to drive meaningful change from within.

We believe that the solutions to economic deprivation, social exclusion, and systemic incarceration already exist within impacted communities. Our mission is to  train, support, and amplify those leading the way.
